Casibay Terms of Use

Welcome to Casibay, Ghana’s trusted online marketplace. By using our website, app, or services (the “Platform”), you agree to the following Terms of Use (“Terms”). Please read them carefully.

  1. Acceptance of the Terms
    These Terms are a binding agreement between Casibay Ghana Limited (referred to as “we,” “us,” or “Administrator”) and you. If you disagree with any part of these Terms or you are not authorized to use the Platform, please do not access or use the Service.
    By using Casibay, you also accept our Privacy Policy and any other policies we may post. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time.
  2. Important Disclaimers
    All services are provided “as is” and “as available.”
    Casibay does not guarantee the accuracy, legality, safety, or reliability of listings posted by users.
    We do not act as a seller, buyer, importer, or manufacturer — we simply connect users.
    Always verify the product or service and meet in public places for your safety.
    Casibay is not responsible for any user interactions, transactions, or outcomes.
  3. Account Registration
    To use certain features, you must create an account and provide accurate details.
    You can register as an individual or on behalf of a company.
    Only one account per person is allowed, unless Premium services are used on each.
    You are responsible for your login information and all activity on your account.
    Minors (under 18) must use the service under supervision of a parent or guardian.
    Casibay may suspend or terminate accounts that are fraudulent or violate these Terms.
  4. Service Description
    Casibay allows users to:
    Post and browse listings
    Communicate with other users
    Buy and sell products or services directly
    We are not a party to any sale or agreement between users. We do not collect taxes on your behalf — users are responsible for that.
    We may remove any listing or user access if it:
    Violates the law or our policies
    Infringes others’ rights
    Is found to be misleading, harmful, or inappropriate
  5. How to Use Casibay Safely
    Never pay in advance (even for delivery)
    Meet in daylight and public places
    Inspect items before making payment
    Report suspicious behavior or content
    Leave feedback to help others stay safe
  6. Premium Services & Fees
    Casibay is generally free to use, but we offer Premium Services to boost visibility.
    Prices for paid features are listed on the Platform and may change at any time.
    Payments are non-refundable unless stated otherwise by law.
    All payments follow our Billing Policy.
  7. User Responsibilities
    When using Casibay, you agree that:
    You are above 18 or under guardian supervision
    You’ll only post legal, honest, and respectful content
    You will not post or promote prohibited items or illegal services
    You have rights to any item or content you upload
    You will not spam, scam, copy other users, or violate their privacy
  8. Content Ownership & Rights
    You own the content you post but grant Casibay a license to use it for display, marketing, or service purposes.
    Casibay content and branding (text, images, logos, etc.) cannot be used without our permission.
  9. Limitation of Liability
    Casibay is a platform where people connect to buy and sell items. We are not responsible for any loss, damage, or issue that may happen while using this site or buying from others.
    You use Casibay at your own risk. We do not check or guarantee every ad. If anything goes wrong, Casibay will not pay for damages or lost money.
    Our total responsibility to you (if any) will never be more than GHS560 or what you’ve paid us in the last 6 months (if any).
  10. Intellectual Property Claims
    If you believe your intellectual property is being used without permission, please email us at support@casibay.com.gh with:
    A signed statement
    Proof of ownership
    URLs of infringing content
  11. Governing Law
    These Terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. Disputes will be resolved through the Ghana Arbitration Centre in English.
